I am pleased to extend a warm welcome on behalf of City Council to everyone taking part in the FascinAsian Film Festival. This weekend festival returns in 2022 for virtual and in-person events and we couldn’t be more excited to join in the celebration and showcasing of Asian-Canadian perspectives, culture and identity through film and media along with 200 expected guests.
The Year of the Tiger hails the year of possibilities and combines with Asian Heritage Month as the perfect time to highlight Asian talent though programmed screenings, live events, workshops and other festival experiences. The FascinAsian Film Festival is a significant part of Calgary’s vibrant arts scene and invites us all to experience the joy of Asian culture through creative expression and outstanding film entertainment.
